Abstract
The recent construction of the Normandy Bridge and the population movements that followed produced different forms of relationship to space. This leads to the formation of multiple territorial identities on the south bank of the Seine estuary. Thus, that was a physical border explicitly characterizing the territorial discontinuity tends to shift towards symbolically and implicitly in the separation that takes place between different groups of people. The object of study has emerged from the meeting of a geographical approach and a sociological approach. The analytical approach of the estuary area is used to identify differentiated processes of appropriation by mobile populations who are moving away from conventional models. The co-territoriality could then account for the sense of a new frontier. It reveals patterns of socialization and relationship to space that are different among people of the same community.
